Practicing forms or shadow boxing with ankle weights on can help develop strength in the legs that will translate into speed when the ankle weights are removed. Just do not make the common mistake of putting on too much weight or working out too hard with the weights on. Instead, follow an agreeable pace and you will achieve noticeable results in a short period of time.

Impact training is also important. While point sparring is not always a full contact sport, it is necessary to develop full kicking power on a heavy bag. This way, you can enhance the strength of your kicks to an enormous degree. Also, power training heavy bag workouts will enhance endurance and wind significantly. Such workouts will give you greater wind which will turn you into a much more formidable fighter.
